[Halld-offline] New DB Servers -- HALLDDB-A and HALLDDB-B Online

IT has deployed a new pair of MySQL (MariaDB to be precise) database
servers, just for Hall D, just for the farm. You will recall we have had
problems with overloading hallddb.jlab.org in the past when too many
farm jobs demanded CCDB service. We are going to see if this helps.

The new system is now in alpha test, so for all you volunteer alpha
testers, the magic words are:

   export JANA_CALIB_URL=mysql://ccdb_user@hallddb-farm.jlab.org/ccdb

N.B., access is read-only, as is appropriate for farm jobs. That said,
read-only access for any purpose should be fine.

See the log entry from Marty Wise below for more details.

Two new MariaDB servers are no online and undergoing final testing prior
to placing into production operation. These servers are for Hall-D and
will be read-only replicas of the HALLDDB server. They are configured in
a DNS round-robin arrangement using the name "HALLDDB-FARM" and are
intended to provide DB service to farm jobs. Meanwhile, the legacy
server will continue to operate in R/W mode and service other non-farm
workloads.

This strategy has been developed to provide additional DB server
capacity to address peak loads frequently encountered which crippled the
legacy server, or at least crippled other applications running against it.

This same approach is being extended to CLASDB next and should be
available within the next few days. Later, similar changes will be
introduced to other large DB server systems to alleviate problems due to
high connection or computation loads on the existing DB servers.
