Dear GlueX Collaborators,

RF experts have been able to run the 5th pass separator IoT cavity without arcs so far. This good result has prompted Accelerator Operations to change its plan and move the tentative beam delivery to Hall D to Monday rather than Tuesday. Work on the separation would start Monday morning and if everything goes well, beam to the D tagger could be available by swing shift.

This is very good for us and for establishing 4-hall operation for January.

Testing the RF cavities will continue over the week end. If new problems develop, or if the arcs come back, the above plan will be rediscussed at the 8am MCC meeting.

The current standby shifts remain on standby until Monday 4pm. After that, they become regular shifts again.

Thank you,

Alexandre Deur, Hall D Run Coordinator.
