[Halld] Hall D RC Daily Report 25 Nov 2021

Hall-D RC report for Thursday 24th of November, 2021 (Happy Thanksgiving)

  *   Accelerator
     *   small issues caused the loss of beam several times, but not enough to cause a full beam recovery. Main causes (but not unique):
        *   Unstable cavity --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950300
        *   BLM issues (delivering beam to Hall C) --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950577
        *   MQA5A32 not cycling --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950658

  *   Experiment/Hall
     *   In general the experiment has been running smoothly.
     *   Rootspy crashed temporarily --> https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950191
     *   ~ 05:50  FDC voltage IOC lost communication. It was rebooted successfully. Alexandre noticed that CA PV Conns value still in the red but apparently was not an issue. Hovanes was informed and confirmed that it was ok -->  https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3950085
     *   ~ 23:30 was noticed that the Vesda Fire Alarm Control was beeping (NOT AN ALARM). Sasha was called and he confirmed that technically is not an alarm (it happened before) and the procedure is call security (Main Gate), inform about it (they have the alarm in their monitors) and an expert will proceed to turn off the beeping. It was turned off ~ 00:10.
     *

  *   Run Plan
     *   run on carbon at 150nA
     *   run 250M events or 2h (rates are quite close to those in He, so 2h should be enough)
     *   rotate radiators 0/90, 45/135 in PARA and PERP configuration (both)
     *   DO NOT TOUCH/CHANGE ANYTHING SENSIBLE THAT COULD NEED THE CALL OF TECHNICIANS!!! (at least until Monday) <-- yes, this is still in play!


RC MEETING:

THERE WON'T BE RC MEETING ON FRIDAY!!  (Probably, no RC meetings until Monday, unless SOMETHING happens and need to be reported. *fingers cross*)

EXTRA:

To those interested in the Analysis meeting, I was informed that THERE WON'T BE analysis meeting tomorrow (the students need to recover after a huge feast, thank you Holly!!)
