Dear PEPPo Collaborator,
The remainder of the CEBAF 6 GeV era has commenced, planned to end on
May 18th. The director of operations (aka Arne) has reinforced that
accelerator development "Beam Studies" will be a priority during this
period at the rate of 12 hours/week, nominally each Wednesday from 8am
to 8pm. You can read Arne's memo below, but note PEPPo is second in
priority. This is all very good news.
Each Friday I will attend a meeting to discuss tests we'd like to
perform the following Wednesday. Therefore our weekly Wednesday meeting
no longer makes sense, and having a good plan by Friday morning is wise.
Consequently, I'd like to suggest we find a time on Thursday for a
weekly discussion (to review any tests from day before and to generate
tests we'd propose for following week). I realize we have busy
schedules and commitments, so hopefully we can make this work, even if
it must occur early or late in the day. By the end of this week please
send me your (un)availability for Thursdays, ideally to put in place
beginning next week.
Happy new year,
Joe
