Dear Folks,

In order to sit shifts and participate in the injector run period from
May 25 - June 30 you must complete a modest amount of training. _Prior
to sitting your first shift you must sign/initial in the PEPPo binder
that you have completed the training_. The binder will be located in
the Machine Control Center (MCC) where you take your shift. You may
access the training material at
https://positron.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Safety_Training_and_Documents

Control documents to read:

    * PEPPo Conduction of Operations (COO)
    * PEPPo Experiment Safety Assessment Document (ESAD)
    * PEPPo Radiological Safety Assessment Document (RSAD)

Training courses to complete:

    * SAF100 - General environmental health and safety (online)
    * SAF103 - Oxygen deficiency hazard (online + test)
    * SAF801 - Radiolgoical Worker Training (online + classroom + test).
    * SAF801kd - Radiological Work Permit (online to read, sign-off)
    * SAF132 - Tunnel awareness training (online + walkthrough + test).
      Requirements are SAF103 & SAF 801. Coordinate w/ Mike Aiken
      (aiken at jlab.org). Mike is willing to provide training on 5/22 and
      5/24. This training is required prior to performing work in the
      injector tunnel, similar to hall walk through training.

Not required, but helpful, safety training:

    * SAF136 - Lead worker; those having this desirable skill should
      sign-off in the binder

Beyond the requirements a couple of opportunities to get acquainted with
PEPPo will be given:

    * Wed 5/23 @ 2pm in MCC - orientation to operations staff, open to
      anyone interested. Tunnel walkthrough to follow; note SAF103 &
      SAF801 (TLD) are required
    * TBD - DAQ training session

When you have a question please let me know.
Best,
Joe
