Dear All,

The new solenoid is operating successfully.

It was mapped today and will be ready for installation tomorrow.  At the 
max momentum our spectrometer will allow ~8MeV/c the smallest achievable 
focal length will be ~51cm.  Our design goal was 50cm.  Roughly speaking 
~all those e+ w/ momentum <6.3MeV and reaching inside the vacuum pipe at 
the solenoid should be collected through the exit vacuum window.  
Promising news for success.

Congratulations to all those that helped make this mon-ster-noid possible!
