Dear PEPPo Collaborators,
During the last ~days before the experiment here is some useful information:
1. _Before sitting a shift you must sign-off in MCC binder on all of the
required reading and training_.
2. _We have a brief toolbox meeting in MCC control room each day until
Friday 5/25 at ~8:15am_. Daily tasks should be mentioned there so
everyone knows the priorities and coordination for the day.
3. _This Wed 5/23 there will be an introduction to PEPPo apparatus at
2pm in MCC conference room_. This is an excellent opportunity for
anyone taking shifts to learn how the experiment will run, be
controlled, important considerations, etc. Following the briefing those
interested will take a walking tour in the injector tunnel. You need
ODH training and TLD to participate.
4. _This Wed 5/23 there will be a DAQ/analysis training session in the
MCC at 3pm_. Those people signing up as shift workers are encouraged to
attend this session to appreciate how to run the DAQ, decode the
information and perform replay analysis during the shifts. Contact
Erica Fanchini (fanchini at jlab.org) or Riad Suleiman (suleiman at jlab.org)
for more details.
4. _Daily RC meetings will begin this Thursday 5/24, held at 3:30pm in
MCC control room_.
5. The _last opportunities for SAF132 injector tunnel walk through
training prior to the start of PEPPo are this Tue and Thur at 9am in
MCC_. To take class sign up with Mike Aiken (aiken at jlab.org). You
should have already taken the online component, ODH and have a TLD (or
escort w/ dosimeter). You will not be allowed to work in the tunnel
without completing the training classes.
6. _We will lock up injector and NL on Thursday at 1500 for checkout of
equipment and systems_. We should be in restricted access by ~1800.
-Joe
