[Rgc] [EXTERNAL] RC update

Dear all

During yesterday’s beam studies (~5 hours in duration), the ND3 target was annealed and polarized in the positive setting. As it sits now, the target is at 51.63% according to the NMR however…..

Soon after beam returned at around 4pm the latest thunder and lightening storm arrived directly overhead and took the machine down. Beam was not restored until around 2am this morning.

Since then we have been taking data on ND3+ HWP Out and the plan is continue production today through owl until tomorrows ACC maintenance which is scheduled for day shift (beam off and first linac survey around 6:30am).

We will have the RC meeting at 2pm to discuss plans for the maintenance period and the next few days.
