Subject: [EXTERNAL] PPU weekly update


This week PPU activities focused on preparing for the upcoming initial power ramp-up phase. In the superconducting area, cryomodules 5 and 6 are at the final assembly stage at JLab, awaiting return end cans. JLab visited the end can vendor this week, and SNS is repairing an end can at ORNL. In the RF area system checkouts continued on the installed equipment for the upcoming ramp-up phase. RF circulators and transmitter tanks needed for the next ramp-up phases were also received.  In the Ring area, at FNAL the first new injection magnet measurements began this week. Installation activities proceeded in the tunnel and klystron gallery for equipment needed in the next phase of the power ramp-up. Also, vendor outreach was initiated for the RTBT stub construction.
