Dear all,
Today, at 1pm EDT, we will have a cake seminar given by Marco Zaccheddu of JLab in CC L102. Please, notice the change in the room that was previously announced. Please see below for the title and abstract.
Cake Seminar: Wednesday, April 24th, 2024 at 1pm EDT
Speaker: Marco Zaccheddu (JLab)
Title: Transversely polarized Lambda production within a TMD approach: from e+e- to SIDIS and hadronic processes
Abstract: I will present our latest extraction of the Lamdba TMD Polarizing Fragmentation Function from Belle e+e- data, with particular attention to the role of charm contribution and of the SU(2) isospin symmetry.
Next, I will discuss the impact of these results on the predictions of the transverse Lambda polarization produced in SIDIS processes, at typical energies of the future EIC, and inside a jet in proton-proton collisions. These estimates will then be compared against preliminary data from STAR.
See you on Wednesday.
Best regards,
Caroline, Joe, and Zheng-Yang
