Hello Marco,

The set of six interlock cables with the lengths you provided to be used in the nitrogen body are almost complete.

The six almost ready are:
2 for inlet (3.5 m)
2 on the aerogel (4 m)
1 for outlet (1 m)
1 close to the EPanel (5 m)

We do not have the internal lengths for the remaining two cables (for a total of 8 cables for the nitrogen body).

Please let us know these lengths so the cables can be fabricated.

Best regards,
Tyler

Subject: Interlock sensors

Dear Tyler,
as anticipated at the meeting, here is the list of
sensors we have in mind.

Each PCB station mounts 2 temperature (T) and 2
humidity (H) sensors. I would suggest we cable
all of them but connect only one H+T pair per
station to the cRio, while keeping the second
as spare. Should a sensor have a problem, we
would need an access to exchange it with his
spare at the cRio.

One option could be to have 4 cables in the
short (internal RICH) section and only 2 in the
outer (Hall) section. This implies however to
access the connectors at the RICH position to
be able to exchange the sensors.

-----------------
Electronic Panel (EPanel)
-----------------
Short section: from EPanel to patch panels
Lenght as the average of the power supply
cables: 6 m.

Long section: from patch panel to cRio
patch panel A: 50 feet
patch panel B: 65 feet

Priority is cooling monitor, electronic healty
and FTOF heat load control. The mimimum would
be 6:

1 for inlet
1 for outlet
2 on the electronics
1 outside the cover
1 on the FTOF

It is clear to have at leat 2 more (for a total
of 8) would be worth, to have a better control
of possible hot spots.

-------------------
N2 volume
-------------------
Short section: internal to the N2 volume, from
relevant locations to the 15-pin feedthrough
Lengths can be customized (see below).

Long section: from feed-through to the cRio.
Lenghts as for the patch panels.

We do not need to pass by the patch panels.
Priority is to monitor the inner volume and
control the aerogel. The minimum would be 6:

2 for inlet (3.5 m)
2 on the aerogel (4 m)
1 for outlet (1 m)
1 close to the EPanel (5 m)

Again, to have 2 more could be wise.

All together, the number would be 6+6=12 stations
(one sensor per type connected) as minimum, with
8+8=16 as optimum, given the cRIO capability.

On top of all, we should not forget to calibrate
the sensors before installation.

As anticipated, Luca Barion from INFN-FE is
supposed to stay at JLab in one week from now.
He could join the effort of sensor cabling
and calibration if this helps.

Thanks, Marco.
