[dsg-hallb_rich] Arranging shipment of two spherical mirrors

Hi Mike,

We have gotten the info on the RICH spherical mirrors that we need to have shipped from CMA in Arizona to JLab.

The two mirrors are packaged in a wooden box with dimensions below:
Weight: 85 lbs
Length: 39"
Width: 31"
Height: 18"

I've already submitted a shipping authorization form (link below) that has been signed and approved, so hopefully there's not too much needed to be done for the shipment.

Hi Mike and Elaine,

We've finally gotten the information on how the mirrors we need to ship from CMA in Arizona to JLab are packaged.

I see from Mike's automated response that he's out of office until 8/31, so I've added Elaine in case there's anything that can be done to have the mirror's shipped while Mike is out.

Hi Mike,

We need to arrange the shipment of two spherical mirrors from Composite Mirror Applications Inc. (CMA) in Tuscon, AZ to JLab.

These mirrors are the same that we went through all of the shipping process with back in 2017.

Since the mirrors are critical to the new RICH detector we are building and are also very expensive (~$20,000 each), these mirrors will need to be insured. We would also like the shipment from CMA to JLab to be as fast as possible (overnight would be best).

I'm still waiting on the information on how the mirrors will be packaged, so I have yet to start a Shipping Authorization form, but I wanted to give you a heads up before submitting the forms in case there is something you can do for the insurance to expedite the whole process.

If you need any more information, please let me know.
