Hi Mindy and all,

Thank you for checking.  We'd hoped that this would be an obvious
indicator which we could show to Radiall to prove that there was a
problem with a specific batch.  At this point we have a couple of
options available to us.

1)  You can send back to the CAEN Tech office in Staten Island the 20
connectors which are faulty.  We'll ship them back to Italy and CAEN
will take the issue up with Radiall and begin working to get you
replacements.  The downside to this solution is time.  CAEN doesn't have
a stock of the connectors they can send you to replace the faulty ones.
We'll have to wait for more to be shipped from Radiall and lead times
have been long.

2)  You could ship back one connector to the Staten Island office.  CAEN
will try to find screws that fit the strain relief collar.  Assuming
they do, they'll ship back to you the connector and enough screws to
secure the other 19 connectors.  The danger here is that the threaded
hole in the strain relief collars are truly faulty and have not been
machined to a size which can be mated with any type of screw.  If it's a
QA/QC problem then we could be wasting time.

3)  You could do a little MacGyver'ing there at JLAB and find a screw
which either mates with the strain relief collar or use a slightly
longer screw with a nut.  I am reluctant to ask this because I know that
these pieces are expensive and both CAEN and I expect them to work out
of the box.  But if time is critical then this might be the fastest was
to solve the problem.

I'm sorry.  I wish I had a perfect and fast solution to the issue.
Please let me know how you'd like to proceed?  My cell is 864-356-2606
if you'd like to speak on the phone.

Many thanks,
Greg
