[G12] g12 publication authorship recommendation

Good Morning,

I agree with Susan’s question(s). A novel approach to CLAS authorship needs to go through the CLAS Coordinating Committee and requires a collaboration-wide discussion.

I don’t see what we are trying to accomplish here. There was nothing special about the g12 experiment that would justify a new authorship procedure. Quite the contrary, the proposed unique approach would raise all kinds of ethical concerns. From a personal point of view, I already find the usual first-authorship system somewhat questionable. A three-tier system would give extra credit to the g12 run group but simultaneously, would send a strong message to the rest of the collaboration.

Please remove the FSU people from the secondary lead author list.
