Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: February 23, 2021

  1.  Thia Keppel
     *   Hall A – crane currently locked out, working on safety evaluation and alternate options
     *   Senior Staff Meeting
        *   Public version of EIC CDR released Monday, should be posted by EICUG soon
        *   Down select review of EIC crab cavity designs went to charge control board
        *   The CEBAF injector was baked (for better vacuum, part of parity upgrade)
        *   VITF booster seems to be working well
        *   Final draft of work from home policy is in the works (beyond computer)
        *   In midst of ESR cooldown
        *   CHL-2K cold box work going well
        *   CST – changed routers last week to use both 10GB lines from ESNET, getting their attention
        *   Hall B & C limited in hot work, need to discuss process
        *   Get your property validation done!
        *   Foreign government form was NOT supposed to be also for Users per DOE
        *   Diversity & Inclusion demographic kickoff meetings started – 4 last week, good attendance (53, 33, 20+ x 2)
        *   Weekly briefs – new one for staff different form for users
  2.  Robin Wines
     *   SBS
        *   Working on details of ECal and CDet supports and cabling
        *   Reviewed BB GEM test install
        *   Sent RFI for BB and SBS sieve plates
        *   Provided information to SBS collaboration for meeting
        *   Working on details of compass for GEn target field measurements
        *   Setting up meetings for SIDIS and TDIS
        *   Submitted GEn target field shield box to machine shop for modification
     *   Moller
        *   Working on shielding, beamline, pivot load analysis, pion donut alignment and detector frames
     *   SoLID
        *   Working on coil test setup
     *   Hall
        *   Supporting install activities
        *   Reviewed AHU proposal
        *   P&ID of LCW system complete
  3.  Jessie Butler
     *   Continue 2MVA power upgrade work (FML)
     *   Completed ground water leak repair in Compton area (FML)
     *   Site visit with Barnhart (crane subcontractor) to discuss supporting Hall A while crane is down (FML)
     *   Add extension to Big Bite carriage
     *   Install two INFN GEMs in frame on BB detector package
     *   Redo hangers for LCW system
     *   Cut shims that is needed for building and leveling upstream shielded bunker
     *   Clear interferences underneath pivot and clear floor space for moving RHRS
     *   SBS collaboration meeting
     *   Continue working on Counting House renovation
