Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: March 30, 2021

  1.  Thia Keppel
     *   Senior Staff Meeting
        *   GlueX review last week positive – theory issues for extras holding pubs up
        *   PRadz review – charged some detectors
           *   Recommended go for full proposal
           *   Colameter upgrade needs external funding
        *   NL transfer lines cooled down
        *   2K cold box leak checking
        *   VITF for waste water approved (7/26 start, had ERR)
        *   Amber and Stuart met with Barb Hellard (Tim Hallman for ASCR)
           *   Possibilities for high performance computing facility
        *   President budget expected ~early May
        *   PAC proposal call for proposals is out! May 24th deadline
        *   Facilities – 2 MVA Hall A upgrade ongoing
           *   Backup plane (lease & hire)
           *   Planning on crane inspection for B,C (different design cranes à all vintage cranes for 90s)
        *   4/8 Accountability Drill coming!
        *   Call is out for proposals for EIC detectors
        *   AD for Nuclear & Particle Physics @ BNL – Haiyan Gao
  2.  Robin Wines
     *   SBS
        *   Putting drawings together for install activities
        *   Working on SIDIS layout
        *   Working on CDet and ECal details
        *   Ordered remaining HCal floor plate parts
        *   Ordered alignment cartridges
        *   reviewing gas systems and cable layouts
     *   Moller
        *   Working on shielding
        *   Detector supports
        *   Beamline and project documents
        *   Coil design review all day on Monday
     *   SoLID
        *   Working on test setup and CCR acceptance
  3.  Jessie Butler
     *   Hall A crane is still down…
     *   Continue 2MVA power upgrade work (FML) – on-going
     *   Overhead crane inspection (FML)
     *   Inspect cables in area of ground water leak repair in Compton area – on-going (several groups involved)
     *   Worked with subcontractor (Barnhart) to build upstream shielded bunker
     *   Continue working on Counting House renovation – on-going
     *   Continue working to mount Big Bite curved track to floor
     *   Work on property validation (all tech staff members)
