Minutes of Hall A Group Meeting: April 13, 2021

  1.  Thia Keppel
     *   Senior Staff Meeting
        *   EIC CD-1 documentation & discussions continue
           *   Also reaching out to foreign collaborators
        *   Cryomodule cooling continues
        *   Engineering appointed 2 deputies
           *   EES (electrical)
           *   Kurt Hovater for projects and Omar Garza for reliability – (was from one search)
        *   File server upgrade 4/25 – 4/26, includes jlab.org!
        *   Plan to place contract for Hall A repair/replacement next week
        *   DOE requesting further information regarding TJ11 (new Physics assembly, testing building)
        *   HR Service Awards 5/4 – II
        *   Upcoming lab leadership meeting devoted to D&I
        *   Virtual Open House (and video) coming soon
           *   Next Open House 3/26/22 – in person!
  2.  Robin Wines
     *   SBS
        *   Working on CDet support plans
        *   Detailing and checking ECal support parts
        *   ECal lifting analysis
        *   Providing information for SBS magnet and corrector analysis
        *   Supporting install activities
     *   Moller
        *   Continue on shielding concepts in spectrometer region
        *   Detailing shielding in target region
        *   Working on detector supports and details of pion donut
        *   Working on project documents
        *   Modeled blue platform and working on modifications and working on new cryocan support
     *   SoLID
        *   Continue prep for coil tests
        *   Supporting magnet analysis
  3.  Jessie Butler
     *   Hall A crane is still down; continue working with subcontractor (Barnhart)…
     *   Site visit for AHU work (FML)
     *   Replace VESDA sensors and upgrade panel (FML)
     *   Replaced several blown lights in the Hall (FML)
     *   Continue moving SBS equipment from Test Lab to Hall
     *   Finish installing SBS counterweight assembly on floor plates
     *   Install SBS magnet on counterweight assembly
